Wendell 80C and Mary Laney Reilly 81C 00T, who met as English majors in Emory College of Arts and Sciences, support Emory in thoughtful, significant ways. The University reflects many of their deepest values—particularly their belief in education and their commitment to community service. Wendell Reilly chairs the campaign for Emory College and serves on the Emory Board of Trustees. Together the couple has invested more than $6 million in undergraduate scholarships, Emory’s Center for Humanistic Inquiry, and Candler School of Theology. The Reillys’ campaign gift to Emory Advantage, which provides scholarship support for undergraduates from middle- and lower-income families, strengthens the economic diversity of the student body, fostering a community of scholars that better represents the world outside the campus gates.
